Rob Birrell Photography is able to offer a broad range of services to businesses and individuals alike. Rob's photography is largely commercially orientated, and he is able to offer top quality commercial, advertising, location and editorial work. His mobile photography kit means that he is well equipped for location photography, either on a client's site, in the landscape or at alternative locations. Rob is passionate about all aspects of photography and has one foot firmly in the Art Photography genre which regularly filters through to his commercial work. He's also quite nifty with Photoshop and digital retouching and editing and evidence of this can be seen in some of his more quirky commercial images. He has a fervent interest in advertising imagery and can often be found surfing the commercial TV channels for inspiration for his next shoot. Rob came to photography through landscape photography and this remains his favorite genre and he welcomes the chance to introduce the landscape into his commercial work. Futhermore, travel has further fueled this enthusiasm as well as introducing him to more exotic wildlife that can be seen in some of his work on the wildlife pages. Rob lives in a small village called High Shincliffe just South of Durham City. He is just 1 mile from the A1 and 20 miles from both Newcastle and Durham Tees Valley airport, and so has easy access to Newcastle, Gateshead , Washington, Durham, Sunderland, Stockton on Tees, Darlington, Middlesborough, York, Harrogate, Leeds, and Carlisle as well as further afield. Being Scottish and having spent many years living in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee Rob welcomes the chance to work over the Border in Scotland whenever he gets the chance.
